Platinum Arts Kids! is a site dedicated to school age child care, day care, teaching and parenting.  The mission of the site is to help create fun, positive, and safe environments for children at a school, home, day care, or child care location.  Many activity ideas are available for kids to use at a school, home, child care, or day care site, such as arts and crafts, gym games, outdoor games, talent show ideas, computer software, etc.  Platinum Arts Kids! is to serve as a resource for parents, teachers, and child care and day care workers.  It will also serve as a channel for parents, teachers, child care and day care workers to relay their own ideas and articles.  Many articles and references will be included to help parents, teachers, child care and day care workers create the most fun, positive and safe environments for the children possible.  Please take advantage of these articles and post your own experience and feedback.  In addition Platinum Arts Kids! wants to help kids learn how to use computers and to help them create their own interactive worlds.  There is free educational software on the site and the free 3D game design tool for kids called Platinum Arts Sandbox.

 

 

The reason I wanted to make this site when there are already so many sites about parenting, child care, day care, teaching, etc, is that even though there are a lot of sites, the information is not very well organized and is often ad ridden.  Yes this site does have ads, but the reason is that I'm hoping to eventually have them be able to pay for the hosting costs.  Also I have put a lot of effort into trying to make sure the ads are as nonobtrusive as possible.  So the purpose for this site is to have an organized, neat, and clean one stop shop for day care, child care, teaching and parenting needs.  Also I want to create a strong community to get opinions and advice other than my own to help the site further grow into a powerful resource and to really help to make the world a better place for children.

 

 

My name is Mike and I am the CEO of Platinum Arts LLC.  I currently work in school age child care as a Site Director at an Elementary School.  I also have a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Writing.  I have always wanted to do a webpage to help kids grow and to be able to post information about what has worked for me and ideas I've had so that other people can grow as well.  I certainly don't claim to have all the answers and am still learning myself, that is why I'm excited to build a community to have other people share their input and advice as well.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of kids and knowing that a difference has been made is definitely the best reward that I could ever have.
