I really like SandBox. Me and some friends play all the time, but we have come across a couple of issues we would like to see changed/fixed in the next version of SandBox.

1. Server time limit
We would like to keep playing together for limits longer than 10 minutes. I have yet to find a way to change that without getting into the source. Perhaps something to add in the server's prompt line.

2. Server sided maps
We know that if the server restarts after then 10 minutes the map is resetted as well. We found out that if we save right before the server restarts, we get to continue our work. We would like it if only the server host had to save (or auto-saving) so that when the server restarts, the clients would receive the map from the server. Auto-saving is also a good substitute, but we don't always want to save.

3. Angle-able water.
We would like to slope/angle water much like we can with land.

4. Advanced Elevator/Platform options.
Elevators and platforms can only go in one direction. We would like the ability to choose 2 or more spots that the elevator/platform would cycle through, and for the option to allow the elevator/platform to noclip while moving.

5. Sound options with entities.
We would like the ability change the sounds created by the jump and teleport entities.

I do realise that some of these may be difficult or impossible to do, I do simple programing in a form of LUA myself.

Hey Joe thanks again for your e-mail.

#1. It is fixed for the next release. For now load the maps using /coop first, so for the village map type /coop village. I think that this answers #2 for you but if not let me know.

#3 Me too Not sure how tough it will be to do but I imagine since it hasn't been done yet that it isn't easy.

#4 Not sure the difficulty on those but I'll relay the message

#5 To change those sounds go in packages/sounds Just switch out those sounds that you want to replace with the new ones you want. You need to keep them the same name. If you want to change the actual names you need to go into the source in fps.cpp I believe.

Do you guys have a SandBox show room or something? Wouldn't mind showing off some of my bad computer graphics, and stuff I've made with sandbox.

I have been thinking about trying to use a different one, what do you think of that gallery? If you send me the screenshots I can put them in there.
