Heya, nice to hear from you and I'm really glad to hear that you're enjoying it!! As a note, if you are interested in posting any of your work let me know. I would also be happy to make your map available for download if you so desired.

To answer your question, you need to go into the /packages folder. If you look in /texturepack you will notice a file that says package.cfg Open it up using a text editor and you'll notice that the textures are referenced in there. That is the most basic way to add new textures. You can also add textures through the sandbox/data/default_map_settings.cfg You'll notice that that file is where the package.cfgs are referenced. An important thing is to make sure you add the new textures LAST. Otherwise it messes up the order of the textures being used in your map and it will change how your map looks. I hope this makes sense. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Take care!

Oh ok I get it, just one more question, if I do post some of my work do I have to post the Textures that are in the map or are they actually put IN the map itself?

Thanks for the speedy response

edit - I tried to add textures it sorta worked except it did what you said it would do if I didn't put it at the end, (heh flower couches ) so I went into the default_map_setting.cfg and I saw that the e8texpack texture pack was last, I added the texture there and it worked but I would prefer to have my own seperate folder to keep my textures in (so I don't have a folder that has like 1000 textures and keeps overflowing...if you know what I mean), can you tell me How I can accomplish this? thanks in advance.

If you post a map, yes the textures would need to be included. If you sent screenshots though, you obviously wouldn't need to send the textures with them.

What you can do is create your own folder add a package.cfg, which is just a textfile renamed. Inside is where you list your new textures. Then in the default_map_config to a reference to that package.cfg at the end. Take care

A-ha, I have made the folder put in the stuff, changed some text around in the cfg's, shows up in PAS, one problem, my (light blue) texture seems to show up white in PAS... I put a light on it and it turned out blue but from a certain angle it sorta Flickers between the skybox texture and the blue texture, did I do something wrong? maybe It's in the wrong format? (it's a Jpeg or .jpg)

Hmm... it seems by making a folder in the e8texpack then just adding in all the details it seems to work now, thanks for all the help guys, and hirato in future I'll do that thanks.
