This is the first release of Platinum Arts Sandbox. It is in very rough format and does not include much custom content. The main goal of the first release is to get the project out there so kids can start building their own levels and so that developers can help create new content for the project. Any help with creating new content and features for the project would be greatly appreciated.

Main features of the first release:
- Ability to create new worlds quickly and easily. Just hit E, Select the ground and roll the mouse wheel and your world will change before your eyes!
- Ability to walk around in your created world. Just hit E again and you can jump and climb on what you just created!
- Add in cool features to your map such as jump pads and teleporters! Hit ESC to enter the menu and add what you want!
- Open source! This project will be kept free and open source so that developers from around the world can contribute their ideas and content to make Platinum Arts Sandbox the best it can be!

Upcoming Features, a list I hope and want to have in.
- A tutorial video
- New models
- A way to scroll through the models much like how you can already scroll through the textures and easily add new models such as trees, plants, and other _object_s
- New maps
- New entities. I really want to create a "move" entity so p_layer_s can make moveable platforms, rollercoasters, etc.
- Any other features I can think of to make the creation process as easy as possible.

Ok ppl, i have some stuff for everyone to see, but it's 1:15 in the morning, so i'll post my screenshots of a hotel i've been making. I started off using what was already there, but now most of it is part of or has already been taken out. The hotel will not be the only thing to explore when the map is finished. I plan on turning the floating island into something and I also will do some decorating when the textures arrive. I for one really like Sandbox. All other cads or workstations are very complex and what Mike has done here is allow for young kids to learn simple basics and as Sandbox grows, they will learn more and be more able to do the complex stuff later on in life, like what most of the mappers in games can do. I don't even know how to operate any cad what so ever and I can do this and now i'm learning it and Later on today i'll show you why I like it so much. Later

Thanks so much for posting the screens! The map is looking pretty cool so far. As a note I have a babysitting job for the first part of the summer and I had the kids try out Sandbox today. They absolutely loved it! I couldn't believe how quickly they picked it up too. They enjoyed digging more than trying to make huge towers. It was great to see how excited they got about it and they were telling me all sorts of new features they wanted added. It was great! I do want to warn parents about the site. Sandbox is not my only operation on my site, it has stuff you may not want your child to see, so please travel with them and make sure they dont wonder off. I do not want my other areas to influence your child in any bad manner. Sry for doing this, but using photobucket takes a lot of time to post images. Though I have to talk with Mike on a better way. Be asured though, the _link_ takes you to the sandbox area and nowhere else in the site. Thanks guys and I'll keep making stuff to help imaginations grow.

How do you upload your pictures with that site, just dump them into a folder? I did check out some gallery software today but I didn't find quite what I was looking for. I didn't spend that much time so I'm going to look again. It seems the freewebs is working out fine for now though. Take care and the hotel is looking good!
