Kid Idol 1 Year, 5 Months ago
This is actually an activity that I’ve only started to explore but it is a good one. Just like American Idol you can create a panel of judges which is usually of kids. Also for judges you could use coworkers, teachers, or the principle depending where you are located. This is an opportunity to bring together the community. Each child picks a song to sing and then the best one is selected. This activity does make me slightly hesitant to fully try because it creates a situation for there to be losers. I’m sure there is a creative way to make it so that no one thinks they have lost, but I need to work on that. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Take care.

I think this sounds like a good idea. I think the children would have a lot of fun doing this.

Well maybe hold these competitions until everyone wins. You might either minus prizes or buy them all at an equal value so no one feels like they did worse than the others.

My little sister loves American Idol, so my parents do kind of the same thing with all kids 16 and under, then an adult one. Of course with the adults they do have different value prizes, sometimes cash and that while the kids do have equal value prizes. Kind of brings the family a little more close.

Modeling is like art, you can do anything you can think of, but bigger things you've never done before are possible just take more time.

That sounds like a lot of fun! When we did the kid idol we actually just didn't even have a winner, it was more like a "talent show" except the kids focused on singing. Kids did other events too if they didn't want to sing. Also I think the kids could actually all have different awards such as "most creative, best dancing, best job with lyrics" etc. Thanks for your input and feedback, it is interesting to hear what other people do. Take care.
