Hey guys, sorry about all the trouble I'm putting you through but I was wondering how you make roofs. Every time I try, my house ends up looking like a caved in wreck! thanks for all your help.

use the middle mouse to select the edges you want to edit, then scroll

or you can use Q+scroll, which is a bit more inefficient for this purpose, to alter the edges.
